| Remarks | The main goal with the Frisian language is to increase the understanding of Frisian and make the children aware that there can be different words for things and thus disconnect the word from the object. This awareness seems to be important for children. |

Sometimes it is hard to use the language consistently. It is necessary to make good arrangements with the pupils on when to use which language. This is done for example by speaking Dutch in the mornings and Frisian in the afternoon, or by dividing languages among teachers: one speaks Frisian and the other Dutch.
