Languages of instruction German, Frisian is taught as a subject
Teaching material There is not much teaching material for the Frisian language, the material which is available is made by the school itself. They do use the 'taalrotonde' adapted from GCO-Fryslân though. Twice a year Gerd Vahder organises a teachers meeting (Lehrer-treff) for the exchange of (Frisian) teaching material.
Remarks Frisian is given as a subject just as Danish or French. Frisian is given on a voluntary basis but every pupil takes the Frisian course. In the 'Überstufe" (grades 7,8 and 9) pupils may choose between Frisian or Danish.
